This is a recipe for a large cowl.
Here’s how the cowl came about - I had lots of bits of aran and chunky weight yarn in different colours, some of which came from a swatch book. The colours were just too lush and gorgeous to throw away and, speaking as a knitter, doing so would have been something close to a crime so I got to thinking about how I could use them to make something wearable.
Each length of yarn was approx. 30.5cm/12in in length (this wasn’t too important because gauge and length were not determining factors for the idea - yarn was)!
This is by no means a neat and tidy accessory, it’s a ‘give me a cowl, I need something warm to put around my neck that will also add some cheer to this otherwise cold, wet winter’ .
