Percussionist: tam-tam and tam-tam mallets; bass drum and bass drum mallets/ beaters;

timpani (D2 and A2) and timpani mallets.

Pianist: feel free to use two hands on the single-stave passages, and feel free to experiment

with fingering.

Performance Notes:

This piece is a crescedo to a scream that never comes. It should feel like it's constantly getting louder without actually reaching a satisfying end point. All pppp and similar have to be performed as though great effort is being exerted. Otherwise the point is lost.
