How to get to know each other Padlet - play quizzes & discuss

Ideal for new groups or individual students, this Padlet gives you a wide range of ‘getting to know you’ topics to get them asking & answering questions and keep them engaged.

There are many ways you could use this Padlet. I would take my participants on a quick tour of the topics and then start the game. Some topics have links to the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary (OALD) to check meanings.

There are two separate “How to get to know you” Ask & Tell interactive games so you are never short of options.

What is an Ask & Tell game, you might be asking? Ideal for kick-off, review sessions on a certain topic or oral training for aspects of grammar, these games encourage participants to ask and (tell) answer questions. (see screenshot below).

How to play? It’s as simple as it looks, the QUIZMASTER (You or a participant in a breakout room) shares his/her screen and presses ‘Spin it’ to set the Randon Wheel in motion. It’ll stop on a topic, and away you go. See screenshot below

To continue, simply eliminate that field and spin the wheel and rinse & repeat until the game is over!

Believe me, even grown (serious) adults have loads of fun with these quizzes. I know cos they told me so!!!!!

It goes without saying that these games shouldn’t be changed in any way. You can use them as is, but if you would like to personalize, add or take away something, you can copy the game for yourself.
