Mary the Mother of Jesus Made Simple

Mary the mother of Jesus -- the favored one: her surrender at the annunciation, her song of praise, and treasuring all these things in her heart (Luke 1:26-56; 2:19, 51).

From Nazareth to the upper room: the angel's greeting, the courageous yes, the Magnificat, the pondering heart, the sword of Simeon's prophecy, the boy in the temple, the wedding at Cana, the mother at the cross, and the praying disciple waiting for the Holy Spirit.

Explicitly Trinitarian: God the Father who chose her; Jesus Christ -- Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior, her Son and her Savior; and the Holy Spirit, who overshadowed her, who alone brings freedom and new life. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit. Mary is presented biblically: favored and blessed among women -- not co-redemptrix. All glory to the Father through Jesus Christ.

Read one chapter a day. Say yes quickly. Treasure His word.
