Manna Made Simple
Bread from heaven in the wilderness (Exodus 16) -- God's daily provision for a grumbling people, and Jesus' claim "I am the bread of life" for every hungry heart (John 6).
Manna Made Simple is a Bible-first walk through the whole manna story: the grumbling in the wilderness of Sin, the promise "I will rain bread from heaven," the daily gathering (an omer for every tent, no hoarding), the Sabbath rest and the double portion, the golden pot kept as a memorial, forty years of unfailing morning faithfulness -- and then the thread all the way to Jesus in Capernaum: "I am the living bread which came down from heaven" (John 6:51), and the prayer He taught us: "Give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11).
Explicitly Trinitarian: the Father who rained bread from heaven, Jesus Christ -- Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior, the true bread from heaven -- and the Holy Spirit who alone breaks the stronghold of grumbling, hoarding, and anxiety, and teaches a hungry heart to trust. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit.
Read one chapter a day. Come hungry. Let God feed you.
