Vinny the Cargo Scanner

Nobody moves it alone.

Vinny is a cargo scanner: a boom reaching across the lane to a pillar on the other side, making a gateway every container rolls through. He has no arms, no hands and no crane hook, and he never moves from his spot — while everything he loves leaves without him. Joe sails, Terry drives, Jenny flies. Vinny stays, and sees inside without ever opening a door. A warm read-aloud about the one who stays put, and why that matters.

Ages 4–8 · A World Movers story about the one who stays put.
