Sometimes we want to avoid the world, shut down all the noise that goes around, stop all the fuzz, forget the "must do's" and "don'ts" of our lives and just focus on our knitting.
Zénite is a project for these occasions: one size only, no decisions to make, you will see it growing and do one more row after another until you see it turning into a beautiful delicate lace.
Starting from a stitch (Summer) developed by designer Naomi Parkhurst, the result is a beautiful shawl that brings to my mind the rich colours and patterns of the traditional crafts in O Minho (Portugal), visible in all its splendour during summer festivities.
Yarn: Semilla Mellange by BC Garn, colour 18, 4 hanks (700 m / 764 yds)
Size: 200 cm (78,7”) x 60 cm (23,6”)
Needles: 4,5 mm / US 7 (or other suitable to obtain gauge or the right texture for you)
Gauge: 27 rows and 18 sts = 10 cm x 10 cm / 4” x 4” (in pattern, after blocking)
Notions: Clip on stitch markers, tapestry needle, blocking wires and pins
