Despertares Shawl

Despertares Shawl has a gently curved shape. Wrap it around your shoulders: it will stay    effortlessly on place and will give a special touch of elegance and comfort to your outfit.

Knitted with two colours, it demands only the right amount of concentration to keep the knitting interesting making it a good project to knit and relax at the end of the day.

The motifs of the shawl use only one colour that stands out, contrasting with the reverse stockinette background, where the two colours blend harmoniously.

You can decide on a gentle blocking, just enough to make the stems and buds pop, or an extreme blocking for a lighter texture.

Yarn:  Bio Balance by BC Garn, colours 01 and 21,  2 hanks (450 meters / 492 yds) each

Size: 220 cm (86,6”) at the wider part, 120cm (47”) at the narrower and 40 cm (15,8”) in width

Needles: 4,0 mm / US 6 (or other suitable to obtain gauge or the right texture for you)

Gauge: 29 rows and 22 stitches = 10 cm x 10 cm (4” x 4”) in pattern after blocking
