Take your curiosity seriously!
Hi, I'm Jen—your guide for custom ecological coaching, land stewardship and consultation support, and personalized help deciphering between native and invasive species (and their uses), foraging insights, and identification of wildlife, plants, fungi, fossils, artifacts, bones, and more.
Learn from my discoveries, methods, and real-world experience to bring your knowledge and appreciation of the natural world to the next level.
Together, we’ll explore the parts of nature that excite you most—from flora, fauna, and fungi to fossils, artifacts, and wildlife. Whether you want to learn more about ecosystems, develop practical skills, or understand the natural world more deeply, I’ll tailor our session to meet your needs—all from the comfort of your home via Google Meet (a free video call service).
📖 What does this session include?
-A 60-minute one-on-one video session (or phone, if you prefer).
-A customized follow-up guide with resources and notes specific to your goals.
🌍 I am based in Ohio, but this is an international service—you do not need to live in Ohio (or even the U.S.) to participate. While the landscapes we live in may differ, the methods for deepening your ecological awareness remain universal. Through my StagPath Mystery Boxes and virtual work, I’ve supported people across 8 countries on 4 continents, from young teens up to grandparents.
Scheduling
Within 24 hours of your purchase, you'll be prompted with an intake form and further scheduling instructions via email. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I gift a virtual guidance session to someone?
Absolutely! A StagPath Virtual Nature Guidance Session is perfect for birthdays, for a nature lover who moved to a new area, or for anyone who might benefit from learning more about their interests in nature. You'll just need to make sure the recipient receives the email containing extra information about the form and for scheduling. If you need any help, just reach out!
How does appointment scheduling work?
When you've completed purchasing, you'll be prompted with an email within the next 24 hours with the next steps.
First, you'll fill out a form that helps me identify how to help you the best I can.
Then, you'll schedule with me via TidyCal.
Each of these steps will be covered in the email.
Is it possible to buy coaching more than once?
For sure! I encourage students to sign up for as many virtual nature guidance sessions as they'd like. Each session will help you deepen your knowledge and skills faster than having to do it all alone. I'm here to help and want to work with you again!
What tools or materials do I need?
Your session includes a follow-up resource guide with notes within a week or two of the virtual call. You do not need to take notes if you don't want to, but you're more than welcome to bring a notebook for jotting down anything you'd like. Just make sure you're in an area with good service for our call.
How can this be international if you're based in Ohio?
Although I specialize in Ohio's landscape, I have successfully helped dozens of international clients over the lifetime of StagPath. Our plants and animals may be different, but the concepts in ecology we cover can be applied anywhere around the world.
I know so little, or I know a lot already, are you sure you can help me?
A StagPath Virtual Nature Guidance Session can be beneficial to beginners or seasoned nature nerds! I cater the session to meet you where you are, whether that means learning the basics of your curiosities, or diving deeper into the topics you already know and love.
Can I bring someone else to our virtual session?
Sure! If you have a friend or a family member that would like to attend the virtual session, that is totally cool. Just be mindful if your friend wants guidance too that they'd be better off booking their own session so that we don't use up your allotted time.
How can I contact you if I need anything?
If you need to reach me, you can do so via email at StagPath@protonmail.com or through Instagram at @StagPath.
What Are You Waiting For?
"Jen is hands down one of the most well rounded, deeply curious and refreshingly approachable educators I have had the pleasure to learn from. As a student to Jen's teachings for many years, she has continuously stoked my curiosity about the world around me. Through encouraging independent research to questioning what is around me when out amongst the trees, Jen never stops the learning journey. She isn't afraid to get her hands dirty to point out nature's gems, whether its a slimy mushroom, a smelly skunk cabbage, a fascinating fungus or crawling insect. Everything becomes something special when I'm with Jen and my appreciation for just how interconnected and magnificent the natural world is always comes to light. Beyond her educational skill set, Jen cares about community connection. She is always one of the first folks to respond when I have burning nature questions I'm trying to solve. She is always happy to share what she knows plus going the extra mile of researching further when she doesn't have a complete answer. Learning and experiencing her deep appreciation for the natural world has been nothing short of life changing and I recommend her to every fellow nature nerd I meet!"
