Reading Packets for 2nd Graders

This resource includes 15 reading passages for kiddos to read and concentrate on for a whole week while doing different activities pertaining to each story.

All the activities included are labeled for each day of the week Monday through Friday. Every day a new activity will be completed to show their knowledge based on the information they have read as they practice multiple skills.

Each day is labeled on the top of each page for students to know when each page will be done. There is a multiple choice question test for every Friday. These passages will aid students with vocabulary, story elements, and main idea. Students will not only be excited but engaged and remember events in the story to fulfill their activities. Contains multiple choice answers for Monday, drawing or coloring with multiple choice question for Tuesday, writing in complete sentences for Wednesday, showing your answer by drawing on Thursday and a multiple choice quiz for Friday. If you follow the schedule based on this, students will complete the package in 15 weeks. Included is a certificate that features different characters or themes from the stories that the students will have read and become acquainted with.

The passages included are both nonfiction and fiction.

Once printed and made into packets, you will have 15 story packages for each student in your classroom. Answer key is included.
