The question "Where is Allāh?" was asked by our beloved Prophet ﷺ himself in the narration of Muslim [537]. That Allāh is, with His Divine Essence, above the seven heavens above His Throne has been the well established belief of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamā'ah since the time of the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ.Nevertheless, from time to time we find groups of people who have the audacity to claim the Salaf for themselves, and they try to twist and turn the Nuṣūṣ to try and establish a belief regarding Allāh that has no place nor origin in Islām.
This masterpiece of Ḥāfiẓ Ghulām Muṣṭafā Ẓahīr Amanpūrī [ḥafiẓahullāh] "Allāh Kahan hai?", breaks the backs of these people - rather, it obliterates their backs completely!
He brings in this work statements from scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamā'ah from the 1st century after the Hijrah until the 8th century, starting with verses of the Qur'ān, clear Aḥadīth and statements of the Companions, may Allāh be pleased with them all - all of which proof that Allāh is above His slaves over the seven heavens. He also cites evidences from the Fiṭrah and refutes some common Shubuhāt on the subject.
Ḥāfiẓ Ghulām Muṣṭafā Ẓahīr Amanpūrī [ḥafiẓahullāh] is well acquainted with the works of the two great 'Ulamā`, Shaykhul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah and Imām Ibn al-Qayyim [raḥimahumullāh]. You will notice that he quotes them frequently and extensively, first mentioning the Arabic original and then translating it into Urdu.
Truly a monumental work of the Ḥāfiẓ, may Allāh reward him with the best and allow us to benefit from this book, Ameen.
Every statement, whether from the Prophet ﷺ himself, a Companion, a Tābi'ī, or a later scholar, has been authenticated by the Ḥāfiẓ.
The book is written in Urdu.
