Inkmaking Flashcards

A handy set of 7 postcards for quick access to go-to techniques and ink recipes. These are drawn from both Inks & Paints of the Islamic Golden Age and Wild Inks & Paints, for when you need a quick reminder for how to mix gouache, the steps for making a lake, a recipe for a calligraphic ink, a botanical red and so on.

A nice large A5 size, they're produced as postcards, with a glossy recto (easy to wipe clean in case of splatter), and an uncoated verso for writing your own notes to keep handy.

Note these flashcards are concise memory aids. They don't offer the detailed background necessary to make the most of them. If you don't have one or both of the books above to provide this background, you'll need at least some previous experience making art materials in order for them to be useful.
