Welcome to another of our Nature Escapes Ebook Series, a collection of images from our wanderings over the years to some of Australia’s incredible and awe inspiring destinations away from the crowded cities and towns. We hope these will inspire you to make your own adventure and discover some of this countries beautiful and inspiring landscapes and places. We continue to be amazed at what we find both on and off the beaten track.

From a journey we completed a decade ago, the Top End of Australia in the Northern Territory is a place of very special beauty. It has long been a popular tourist destination in its own right, and for good reason. Places like Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks are world renown, however of you have the time and dig a little deeper you will find many more treasures this stunningly scenic region has to offer. 

In this journey we escape the city and towns to explore both Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks, head into remote Arnhem Land (please note Permits are required here and must be obtained prior to traveling), marvel at the impressive Katherine Gorge in Nitmiluk National Park, discover the intriguing Limmen National Park with its ancient petroglyphs and lost cities as well as a few other spots along the way. It is a journey that has stayed with us for a long time and an area that continues to enchant.
