Solid Edge Rename and Replace tool

A CAD file is quite commonly used in other files, which may be an assembly, a draft file or even a part or sheet metal file as a part copy. So what happens if you rename the file? The answer to this is that you end up with a broken link that then needs to be fixed.

This macro allows you to specify a file that you want to rename. You can then click the find button to locate all of the locations of where the file is found. There is an option in the list to un-select any of these files should you wish and the click the "Rename" button to rename the file and then go through each of the where used files and replace the old file name with the new one.
