Celebration shawl

This shawl is a great way to celebrate a beautiful skein of 4-ply yarn and to create something fabulous to wear on a special (or otherwise) occasion.

It takes a little spin on the classic triangular shawl with a wide mock cable spine which is echoed in the lace section.

SIZE

Wingspan 129cm, depth 56cm

MATERIALS

350m of 4-ply yarn (approx 400m/100g) -

Sample in Fyberspates Vivacious 4-ply, 100% super wash merino (365m/100g). Colour Strawberry

3.25mm circular needle with at least 80cm cable. 

4 stitchmarkers

Scrap cotton yarn.

3.5mm crochet hook

TENSION

24 sts and 35 rows in stocking stitch to 10cm on 3.25mm needles before blocking

NOTES

The shawl is worked in rows but because there are a large number of stitches towards the end of the shawl, using a circular needle (working in rows) is recommended.
