The Hazel Beanie is a wonderfully textured, cozy crochet beanie hat pattern that comes in 5 sizes with instructions on how to customize it to fit you or your loved one perfectly. Designed to fit comfortably without being too snug or too loose, this crochet hat pattern has a classic fit that will be a staple in your winter wear.

This crochet beanie pattern is designed to fit comfortably. This means that this crochet hat won't fit tight to the top of the head, allowing some room for comfort and breathability. It is not designed to be a crochet slouchy beanie, but you absolutely could make it into one if you preferred to.

SKILL LEVEL

Advanced Beginner - Crocheters looking to follow this pattern should know how to:

• Read a crochet pattern - There is NOT a video tutorial for this crochet pattern
• Work the basic stitches - Chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet
• Work in Rows
• Yarn Over Slip Stitch (yoslst - a hybrid of hdc and sl st) or be willing to learn
• Place stitches in the Back Loop Only (BLO) and 3rd Loop Only (3LO) or be willing to learn
• Skip stitches
• Place multiple stitches into one stitch.

This is NOT a beginner pattern! If you're only just learning to crochet, this crochet pattern will be outside of your skill level.

PATTERN INCLUDES

1. A robust PDF with detailed photo tutorials for the special stitches as well as for Rows 1 through 8, which will set you up to properly repeat the rows as necessary. This photo tutorial also has the steps written in detail, not short hand, to help you through. The photo tutorial will also walk you through finishing the beanie.

Medium (4) worsted weight yarn of your choice. You will need approximately:

Toddler: 95 grams / 142 yards

Child: 115 grams / 172 yards

Teen/Small Adult: 140 grams / 209 yards

Adult Medium: 170 grams / 254 yards

Adult Large: 200 grams / 298 yards

Yarn Used:  We Crochet's Twill in colorway Crabapple. This is a Medium (4) worsted weight yarn that is 100% Super Wash Merino Wool.

If you alter the pattern in any way, your yarn usage will be different than listed.

Additional Optional Materials:

Faux fur pom poms or pom pom made from yarn - 1 per crochet beanie made. This is completely optional!
