“The owl of Minerva spreads its wings only with the falling dusk” - GWF Hegel

The owl is a symbol of wisdom, and in Roman mythology the owl belongs to Minerva. This cable & lace combination looks like stacked owls with little faces and curved horns formed from the yarnovers and the cables. Worked magic loop style from the cuff down, this sock is presented in written and charted instructions. It has a slip stitch heel, and a drawn up toe. Loosely based on a stitch pattern from the Walker books, this motif has a real wow factor to it. To see it best, work it up in semi-solid or solid yarn!
