Mother Necessity Slippers

Necessity is the mother of invention. The tile floor under my computer desk was extra cold this winter. So these cushy felted slippers are worked up in double stranded Cascade 220 to be doubly warm. The slippers can be worked on dpns, magic-loop style or on two shorter circular needles. The slippers come in three widths: narrow (8”/20 cm circumference), medium (10”/25 cm circumference), and wide (11 ¼”/28 cm circumference). Length can be customized using the charts provided in the pattern. Yarn amounts vary based upon custom length options. Most child sizes will require only one skein, most adult sizes will require two. 

YARN (Worsted): Cascade 220 (100% wool; 220 yds [201 m] / 3.5 oz [100g)]: 1-2 skeins.

GAUGE: 11 sts and 16 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stockinette

NEEDLES: US 13 [9.0 mm]; adjust needle size to achieve gauge

SIZING: 8 (10, 11.25)" [20 (25, 28) cm] foot width, length is customizable
