When you want a smaller baitfish-style bait you can work at your own pace, reach for the 3.5 inch Tracer Shad. Its minnow profile and forked tail give you a compact soft jerkbait to try with a few different setups.

Start weightless and work it with short twitches followed by a pause. Mix up the rhythm instead of giving it the same motion all the way back.

For a weighted presentation, try it on a jighead with small lifts and pauses. Or rig it on a drop shot to hold it above your weight while you work one spot. A little rod-tip movement followed by a pause is a good place to start.
