John Dowland: „9 Sätze aus Lachrimae“

Alte Musik des 16. Jahrhunderts für 5 Kontrabässe! Hervorragend geeignet in Konzerten von Kontrabass-Klassen, aber auch für Kammermusik der Kontrabass-Gruppe eines Orchesters. Während die ersten beiden Stimmen fast durchweg in Daumenlage liegen, liegt der Anspruch an die Bässe 3 und 4 in präziser rhythmischer Stimmführung. Die 5. Stimme mit der traditionellen Bass-Funktion kann auch schon zum größten Teil von einem Studienanfänger bewältigt werden.

Eine schlichte, schöne Musik, die durch die ungewohnte Besetzung nochmals an Reiz gewinnt.

Early music of the 16th century for 5 double basses! Excellent for double bass class concerts, but also for chamber music for the double bass section of an orchestra. While the first two parts are almost always in the thumb position, the basses 3 and 4 are required to play with precise rhythmic voice leading. The 5th part with the traditional bass function can also be mastered for the most part by a beginner.

This is simple, beautiful music which is made even more attractive by the unusual instrumentation.
