Searching for the light - object lessons and a how-to guide for creating an asynchronous outdoor scavenger hunt

This activity is one you can set up right before Advent begins and leave up for folks in your community to participate in all through December. It’s a great option when so many church activities are virtual and families may be looking for ways to get outside on days when the weather is still decent. The activity is informed by the geocaching game, though you could run it as a more traditional scavenger hunt, depending on the clues you use. You’ll be giving families clues and hiding Advent related objects and object lessons in durable containers suitable for the outdoors.
