How to heal depression
This handbook is my personal experience as a woman who pulled herself out of depression with my internal strength, resources, and courage combined with the help of a therapist. I am sharing with you everything I learned throughout my healing process with the hope of being able to help you in your journey.
A few months ago, I woke up realizing that I was in an unconscious crusade toward one of the most silent yet damaging diseases of our time: depression. Here are some of the key events that played a major role in my life: I had to deal with a toxic and alcoholic father, I suffered from vaginismus for years, then I lost three loved ones in tragic conditions within a year. I had the chance to feel life growing inside of me though I was not able to carry it out. I had to build myself up from an eight-year-long relationship while starting a new life with a new challenging job in a new city. I reached my turning point when I had a professional burnout.
I decided to fight for my life and for me. I wanted to feel alive and be happy again. I wanted more for me, I deserved more. What were the purpose of being on earth without enjoying my time here and the beauty of my uniqueness? I watched myself in my bathroom mirror and I made a commitment with myself. The commitment to heal and to choose me over depression. Today, I can say that I am healed, I am depression-free.
I want you to make this commitment too. You deserve a happy, abundant, fulfilled life! My purpose with this handbook is to help as many people as I can with my experience. I want you to know that you are not alone. I am aware that not everybody can afford therapy sessions so I am sharing what I am learning with you hoping that it will contribute even a little bit to your healing.
