This piece is inspired by the Ring of Brodgar, a neolithic henge and stone circle on the archipelago of Orkney. I aimed to create a musical representation of what it may have been like to conceive of, and then construct, a structure such as the Ring of Brodgar, in the distant mystical time when it was built, over 4,000 years ago.
