Junya Yimprasert (จรรยา ยิ้มประเสริฐ) is a relentless rights advocate who does not accept "it can't be won." Her motto — "One day longer" — captures her approach: you have to outlast it by more than a single day. She works through "action-oriented research" to campaign for labour rights. Junya is a co-founder of the Thai Labour Campaign (2000–2010), chair of Act4Dem ry in Finland (2018–present), and International Coordinator of the Migrant Workers Union of Thailand (MWUT) (2024–present).

In 2014, Thailand's military junta revoked her passport for demanding democracy, accountability, and the rights of the people. The junta's verdict: a threat to national security. She has lived and worked in exile in Finland ever since.

For sixteen years, documenting the exploitation of Thai berry pickers in Finland and Sweden has been at the heart of this work — standing openly alongside workers in their struggle for justice and reparation. Bloodberries is the sum of all that evidence, gathered across those sixteen years.

ในปี 2557 รัฐบาลทหารของไทยได้เพิกถอนหนังสือเดินทางของเธอ เพียงเพราะการเรียกร้องประชาธิปไตย ความรับผิดชอบของผู้มีอำนาจ และสิทธิของประชาชน คำตัดสินของคณะรัฐประหารระบุว่าเธอเป็นภัยต่อความมั่นคงของชาติ นับแต่นั้นเธอจึงต้องลี้ภัยมาใช้ชีวิตและทำงานอยู่ในฟินแลนด์
