In his Pastoral Epistles (1 & 2 Timothy and Titus), the apostle Paul refers to five “Trustworthy Sayings”. This book discusses the possible origin of these sayings and how they are meant to provide doctrinal and spiritual piling to ground Christians on God’s truth, providing a mini-course on Christian teaching and practice. They complement the other foundations that we have been taught in the church and enrich our understanding of Christian living that pleases the Lord. This is especially important in our present situation where we encounter falsehood and deviations from God’s truth.
