Comfort and style were the inspiration for Kabir, an over-sized cardigan with a generous amount of positive ease that gives it a snug but stylish edge. It’s a nestle up at home or step out in style kind of garment!
The cardigan features stocking stitch for the main body and a reverse, broken rib stitch for the sleeves, bottom edge, front bands and collar. The simple shape of Kabir is offset with a small short row collar and 6/7 buttons.
Sample in green is size XS-S
Sample in rust is size S-M

This design was initially written in four sizes, to fit XS-S, S-M, M-L, L-XL, with fixed instructions for sleeve placement. After test knitting, it became apparent that knitter’s may choose their own desired width to give more/less positive ease, which in turn meant that the sleeve placement, and the required stitches needed for the sleeves, would change.
To account for this I have included instructions on how to customise the pattern for the individual knitter.
