Begin along the dramatic shoreline of Rodeo Beach, where dark sand, colorful pebbles, crashing waves, sea stacks, and changing coastal light offer opportunities for both grand landscapes and intimate compositions. Continue to Muir Beach Overlook, where elevated viewpoints reveal the scale and character of the Pacific coastline. Then climb toward Mount Tamalpais, where ridgelines, valleys, fog, and late-day light can transform the landscape.

Each stop has been selected not simply because it is beautiful, but because it asks you to see and photograph differently. Look for foreground details and movement along the beach, layers and scale from the coastal overlook, and light, atmosphere, and depth from the mountain.
