Digital chart and instructions in English (US Terms) with detailed photos for creating the Dragon Scales pattern in mosaic crochet. This pattern uses the overlay mosaic crochet technique.

Pattern includes instructions for creating a square pillow, but you can use the chart to create anything you like. This pattern is great for gradient and variegated yarn to create dragon scales, mermaid scales or even flower petals just by using different colors of yarn.

This is an easy to intermediate level mosaic crochet pattern. The pattern is chart based and NOT written row by row. These charts have several special stitches, and each pattern includes a detailed photo tutorial of those stitches, as well as reference photos for completed rows. If you're new to mosaic crochet there are links to video tutorials within the pattern to help teach you the technique and how to read a chart pattern.

This is an original pattern designed by Alexis Sixel. Do not copy, share or distribute these patterns. You can sell finished work using my patterns as long as you credit Sixel Design as the original pattern designer. You can tag me on instagram @sixeldesign

I'm always working on new designs and will be adding them all here to the shop.

Fantastic!

I purchased this pattern while following along with your Dragon Scales pouch YouTube tutorial video, and it was so worth it!!! I like being able to reference the chart, special stitch guide, and you video all at the same time.

Fantastic experience

I first did the dragon scale pouch tutorial on you tube and completed my first drawstring bag. I loved the bag but still hadn’t quite got the hang of reading the chart. I wanted to learn more about how to read the chart so that’s what led me to purchase the pattern. Now I understand how to read the carts. The pattern was easy to follow with great pics to help. I then bought the book!
