Mark V Special Operations Craft

The 82-foot, 52-plus-ton Mark V Special Operations Craft (SOC), operated by SWCC Special Boat Teams, provided a medium-range platform for the insertion and evacuation of special operations forces. It was infrequently employed for coastal patrol and reconnaissance.

Because of its slanted design and the high-tech materials used in its construction, the boat has a low radar signal. It could carry four Combat Rubber Raiding Craft, which it launched from the stern ramp. The MK V SOC may also launch and retrieve unmanned aerial vehicles and SEAL Delivery planes.
