Welsh Perspective shawl knitting pattern

This shawl was designed to use colours from our 4ply Cartref Yarn range to best effect. It would also work well with many of my Owl About Yarn yarns, maybe with a solid and a variegated pairing? It is an unusual construction in that you cast on the longest side first and then work down, through lace sections, short rows and welts to the bind off edge. An adapted picot edge starts and finishes the shawl in style! As you look at the shawl from the lace side down the path of the welts, it reminds me of the lessons I had on drawing perspective at school. And it’s Welsh yarn, hence the name “Welsh Perspective!
You will need 150g of the main colour and 50g of a contrast. I used Cartref Yarn “Naturiol” for my main colour and Cartref Yarn “Fflâm” as the contrast.
