About the Author
Annabel Allen brings together her passion for Sri Lankan wildlife and organic gardening with her fertile imagination and quirky observations of village life. She is the author of The Daring Mango Tree Musical. She manages a wild, organic cinnamon and coconut jungle farm on the edge of a village in Southern Sri Lanka. Her love affair with Sri Lanka has spanned 18 years. She runs Daring Women, a book publishing, tour and training business.
Annabel has also lived in the UK, Canada, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Cambodia. She worked at the BBC World Service and has published numerous articles in travel and business magazines. During her career in law and business, she co-wrote seminal books about Chinese law.
About the Illustrator
Ridmi is the illustrator for The Daring Mango Tree Musical e-book. She is a 21 year old Sri Lankan artist who specialises in hand-drawn, pencil art. As a self-taught artist, she has persisted in refining her drawing style. She grew up in the South of Sri Lanka and is familiar with village life from her experiences in her grandmother’s village.
