Hi, I am Annabel Allen, author of The Daring Mango Tree Musical. It brings together my passion for Sri Lankan wildlife and organic gardening with my fertile imagination and quirky observations of village life.  Although the story is fictional, I draw much inspiration from my extraordinary experience of visiting and living in a village in Sri Lanka. I manage a wild, organic cinnamon and coconut jungle farm. I run Daring Women, a book publishing, tour and training business.

I have also lived in the UK, Canada, Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Cambodia. I worked at the BBC World Service and have published numerous articles in travel and business magazines. During my career in law and business, I co-wrote seminal books about Chinese law. 

I happily cooperate with the talented young Sri Lankan artist Ridmi Nawshadi who has provided the illustrations for the book.
