Advanced Hypnotherapy Practitioner Training

Advanced Hypnotherapy Practitioner Training is a self-paced distance learning course designed for qualified hypnotherapists who want to develop their work beyond practitioner level. Rather than simply teaching additional techniques, the course focuses on helping therapists think more flexibly, critically, and confidently when working with a wide range of clients and presenting issues.

The course explores advanced models of hypnosis, research literacy, ethical decision-making, reflective practice, advanced communication skills, and working beyond rigid protocols or overly scripted approaches. Throughout the programme, the emphasis is on understanding not only how techniques work, but why.

Unlike many home-study advanced courses, support is built into the programme from the start. Students receive a substantial 317-page training manual, a separate portfolio workbook, unlimited email support, detailed marking and feedback, and up to four hours of individual tutorial time with the course tutors, Debbie Waller and Brian Turner. There is no completion deadline, allowing students to fit study around practice and other commitments.

The course has been accredited at Advanced Practitioner level by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (UK). Graduates from this training (with appropriate experience in practice) are eligible to apply for professional registration at Advanced Practitioner status with the GHSC/GHR.
