A complete, carefully sequenced Reception literacy planning document for the Autumn Term, designed to support children as they settle into school whilst developing early communication, language, phonics and writing skills in a meaningful and engaging way.
This resource includes 6 weeks of literacy planning across Autumn 1, with three weekly inputs, carefully matched to the developmental needs of children in Reception. Planning is realistic for the autumn term and focuses on building strong foundations through high-quality texts, talk, storytelling, mark making and early writing opportunities.
Texts and activities are carefully selected to support settling in, building confidence, developing vocabulary, early storytelling, phonological awareness, mark making and purposeful writing, whilst linking closely to the wider curriculum.
