Requirements and limits

Python 3.10 or newer, a terminal and authorized local files. No third-party Python package or cloud account is required. Input is comma-separated UTF-8 CSV, with an optional UTF-8 byte-order mark. The default file limit is 25 MiB; the documented option permits up to 100 MiB per CSV. Other ceilings still apply: 100,000 rows, 256 columns and 2,000,000 cells.

Comparison preserves literal strings. The tool rejects malformed structure and ambiguous duplicate keys instead of guessing. It does not read XLSX, perform fuzzy record matching, normalize business values automatically, import into a database or repair data.

Does it upload my files?

The utility performs local file operations and has no upload or external API workflow. Reports still need appropriate access controls, especially if you choose to include values.

Can the row count stay the same while records change?

Yes. One record can disappear while another arrives. Key-based categories show changes that a single row count misses.

Is this the same as the workshop?

The workshop teaches a fixed synthetic exercise using a separate small lab. This pack is the reusable general command-line utility with documented boundaries, compound keys and detailed reporting options. Buy according to the workflow you need.
