This film tells the fictional story of a character named Lab Specialist Melissa – a new bio-engineering intern at Aegis Biolabs Corp. The setting of the story takes place a few days before Lab Specialist 1 & 2, in a sublevel of an expansive genetic engineering mega-facility. Lab Specialist Melissa is on her break, before she is informed that her presence is required for a surprise performance evaluation. She makes her way to a specimen evaluation room, where she undergoes a written and practical evaluation. She breezes through the written exam, however, little did she know that the "practical evaluation" would potentially put her face-to-face with one of the corporation's most dangerous lab specimens. Instead of immediately evacuating the room as per protocol, she curiously approaches the specimen's unsecured containment den. The film continues from here.
