The Whispers From Margins

Introduction



Some stories in Scripture are shouted. Others are whispered— not because they matter less, but because they require listening.

This book is written for those whispers.

The Bible does not flinch from brokenness, yet we often do. We hurry past the stories that unsettle us— the women who were used and unnamed, the men who waited too long in darkness, the prayers that sounded more like questions than praise.

These are not side notes to redemption.

They are the soil it grows in.

Each story in this collection is told in three movements:

1.The Rupture — what was broken, lost, violated, or misunderstood

2.The Holding — the waiting, the hiding, the endurance, the silence

3.The Revealing — not always restoration, but truth brought into the light

This structure mirrors the way God often works.

He does not rush healing.

He allows the middle to linger.

He honors what is held quietly before what is celebrated publicly.

These poems do not attempt to soften Scripture

or explain God away.

They sit with the text as it is—

with grief that has no resolution,

with obedience that goes unseen,

with faith that survives without applause.

Many of the voices here belong to those history barely noticed:

a slave in the wilderness,

a mother guarding bones,

a woman whose name became a warning,

a prophet sinking in mud,

a child hidden from slaughter.

Their stories ask difficult questions:
