Title: The Great Divide: Paul vs Jesus: 19 Major Contradictions (United States of America, 2026)

Why It Matters?

Context: When Paul came in about 36 AD to Jerusalem in Acts 9  – four years after Jesus ascended to Heaven in about 32 AD, Paul did not yet claim to be an “apostle of Jesus Christ,” or “Apostle to the Gentiles.” Instead Peter held both posts in Acts 15:6, and said so in front of Paul with no dispute. Unlike the post 58 AD Paul, the earlier Paul preached as of 57 AD that he believed “in all points written in God’s Law” (Acts 24:14) and in Acts 26:20 Paul “declared” consistent with Jesus that Paul’s gospel was the same. Paul declared in Acts 26:20 his gospel “both to them of Damascus first and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judaea, and also to the Gentiles” was “that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance."  But something snapped in Paul by 58 AD – for now Paul declared he too was an apostle of Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 9:1-2).  This erupted into the “Great Divide, or schism, evident in Paul’s admissions in Galatians 1 & 2. Paul also suddenly did an about face on the Law and the vital necessity of repentance from sin, scorning it as a futile effort.

Related YouTube Documentary Series. This ebook is a documentary companion for a YouTube-based documentary “The Great Divide”  – simply documenting 19 of the most serious contradictions by Paul of Jesus. This is solely a comparison of statements, without asking whether Paul - born with an elite privilege of Roman citizenship from birth – was a Roman agent infiltrator pretending to be a Christian, or had other reasons for contradicting Jesus such as a spiritual breakdown reflected in 2 Corinthians 12:6-7. Rather than delve into what explains these contradictions, this ebook series’ companion to the YouTube documentary simply investigates at least 19 major doctrinal conflicts between Paul and Jesus. The viewer and reader must alone decide what this means on whom they listen to: Jesus or Paul?
