I have been a born-again Christian since age 14 years old. I was later trained to accept the message of Paul that God's Law is done away with, and now we live by the Spirit. But then after a 17 year legal career I moved with my wife to Costa Rica to be full time missionaries, and God confronted me with the fact the Protestant Costa Ricans had accepted James 2:24 as valid -- that justification is by works, and not by faith alone. This was 1999. I rejected this in a knee-jerk way. However, using my training in classical Greek in prep school, I began to dig deeper. After 6 more years of study, it finally appeared impossible to sustain my stubborn refusal to hear what Jesus besides James was truly saying. My book Jesus' Words Only published in 2005 rocked my Christian perspective on Paul, and that of many others. Many changed lives live now to truly make Jesus our "sole teacher" and "sole Rabbi." I am always studying to re-assess my own views. This series of 19 contradictions by Paul of Jesus is my own revisit to a core issue. We start in Episode 1 with the most fiercely rejected issue by Protestants and Catholics that we have any duty to keep even the 10 commandments.
