The Sun Stands Still

By Kimani Upshur, M.Ed.

Five kings have surrounded Gibeon, and Joshua has promised to help - so he marches all night, holds on to God's "Do not be afraid," and prays one of the boldest prayers in the Bible: for the sun to stand still. Children follow the battle in ten exciting chapters, from stones falling from the sky to the longest day ever. This faithful paraphrase of Joshua 10 teaches young readers to pray bold prayers to a very big God.
