Eros Dialogues was commissioned by tenor Michael Calmes the leader of ensemble Janus 21. It was written in 2005 and revised in 2014. As the title suggests the work celebrates and explores homosexual relationships of friendship and love. The poetry is by Walt Whitman and Amy Lowell. A major theme in Eros Dialogues is the imagery of the garden and nature, as  found in the poems of both of these poets.
The work consists of 8 songs with and instrumental interlude in the middle.
 
Poem styles:
Whitman: worldly, bawdy, men on the open road. Private thoughts of men,
Lowell: intimate private love poems hidden eroticism.
