Sharing my music with others embodies much that is great about the human experience.  Through my musical and creative activities I strive to elevate society by connecting and bringing people together to celebrate life, creativity and the arts.

Many of my works contain collaboration, which bridges music with diverse subjects. Recent projects have been inspired by: literature, fine arts, spirituality, ageing, gay and lesbian relationships, antiquities, the natural world and deep space and space travel. Some of these projects were conceived and presented as collaborations with poets, naturalists and historians. Connection with music and these other disciplines adds a deeper dimension to the project and the audience’s experience with the performance.  These collaborations challenge me to compose music with a broader conception in mind. In addition, they inspire me to further develop my musical technique to fulfill the artistic requirements of the specific project’s components. 

Education and public outreach is also a very important part of my artistic vision. As an educator I share my talent and knowledge helping students to learn and think independently in order to gain the creative freedom needed to reach their aspirations and goals. I also have had many opportunities to be a guest composer and lecturer at universities, conservatories, music festivals and concert series. In addition I am an active public speaker at performances of my music. My goal is to inspire and inform the listener so they can better connect with the musical experience and other related topics presented.
