Knitting pattern for cabled socks - Agna Qel'a

Agna Qel’a is a sock pattern that was designed as a mystery KAL (MOCK) for the Sock Knitters Anonymous group at Ravelry.

I knit up the sample pair while watching Avatar: The Last Airbender and decided to name the pattern after the capital city of the Northern Water Tribe, because the stitch pattern reminds me of the magnificent ice structures you can find there.

There are 3 sizes available: Small (56 stitches), Medium (64 stitches) and Large (72 stitches).

You’ll need approximately 70 to 90 grams of fingering weight sock yarn in a (semi-)solid colourway. The sample was knit up in CoopKnits Socks Yeah! in colourway Larimar.

Other materials required are needles for working small circumferences in the round, a cable needle if you use one for cabling, at least 3 stitch markers, and a tapestry needle. Optional: 72 size 8/0 or size 6/0 beads and a beading tool of choice (e.g. a crochet hook, Superfloss, etc.).
