Helping you build your pathway into the New Zealand heavy transport industry and beyond. Building a life of self sustainability, accountability and ownership.
Helping you build your pathway into the New Zealand heavy transport industry and beyond. Building a life of self sustainability, accountability and ownership.
You don't need to already have a heavy vehicle licence to book a consultation.
Whether you're starting from the beginning with a Class 1 learner licence, already hold a full Class 1 licence and are looking toward Class 2, or you're considering progressing further through the heavy vehicle licensing pathway, your consultation can be tailored to where you are now.
Your consultation is a full one-hour, one-on-one video session with William McCreedy, Founder of Willyz Academy & Cadetship.
This is your time to ask questions, discuss your goals and work through the areas that are most relevant to your journey.
Depending on your needs, we can discuss:
🚦 Starting from the beginning
Understanding the steps involved in getting your first licence and beginning your journey toward heavy transport.
🚛 Heavy Transport Career Guidance
Exploring potential pathways into trucking and the wider transport and supply chain industry.
🪪 Licensing Pathway Planning
Understanding the progression from Class 2 through to higher licence classes and relevant endorsements.
📚 Class 2 Kickstart Guide Support
Working through questions or areas of the guide you're unsure about.
💰 Licensing & Financial Planning
Creating a realistic plan for saving toward licences, training and other costs associated with progressing into the industry.
🎯 Your Personal Pathway
Looking at where you are now, where you want to go, and what practical steps could help you get there.
At Willyz Academy & Cadetship, I believe that building a career is only one part of building a better life.
My own journey through heavy transport has taught me plenty. Some lessons through success, and others through mistakes, setbacks and simply figuring things out along the way.
I believe experience becomes more valuable when it can be shared.
That's one of the reasons I founded Willyz Academy & Cadetship.
Through these consultations, I want to share what I've learned from my own experiences in heavy transport, employment, licensing and career development, and help you apply that knowledge to your own journey.
Whether you're starting with no licence, preparing for your Class 2, looking at your next licence progression, or simply trying to work out where you want your career to go, this is an opportunity to sit down, ask questions and work through it together.
But the goal isn't for me to tell you what your life should look like.
It's about helping you take ownership of your own pathway.
Developing the knowledge, skills and independence to build a future you can support yourself with.
Taking responsibility for where you are, where you want to go, and the actions required to get there.
Taking control of your decisions, your development and ultimately your future.
These are values I try to apply in my own life, and they're values I want Willyz Academy & Cadetship to represent.
I don't have all the answers.
What I do have is experience, knowledge, mistakes I've learned from, and a genuine desire to help others navigate the road ahead with a little more clarity.
Your journey is yours.
My role is to help you find the road forward.
The full 12-week Pathway Programme, with its rolling intake cohort, is currently in development.
In the meantime, this is my immediate action plan to start helping you carve your pathway into the New Zealand heavy transport industry and beyond.
