Polaroid Transfer 1/1 — Booty (Emotisa & Biatrize)
Polaroid Transfer — Booty
Emotisa & Biatrize
This is a one-of-a-kind Polaroid transfer, created directly from the original instant photograph—no digital file, no reproduction, no second print. The black-and-white Polaroid was carefully separated and transferred by hand onto Hahnemühle 300 g/m² aquarelle paper, measuring 12 × 17 cm. The process leaves subtle ruptures, soft edges, and tactile traces that can never be repeated.
Biatrize kneels inside the elevator, her body close to the floor, facing Emotsia. Bare skin frames the image, creating a soft, enclosing foreground, while distance pulls details apart. Her tattoos recede into shadow and grain, no longer read as symbols but as fading marks of movement and depth.
The Polaroid transfer amplifies this shift: edges blur, contrast breaks, and presence becomes layered. What remains is a quiet tension between proximity and disappearance, a moment where bodies share space and the image holds more atmosphere than narrative.
Each transfer is embossed and signed, carrying the marks of the process and the time it was made. This piece is straight out of the camera, created as a physical original from the start—there is no digital master and no edition.
