This simple to sew tote will be sure to grab attention wherever it goes! The front features a machine appliqued lobster, and a loop and button closure at the top. The tote is fully lined, with an inside pocket spanning the width of the bag. .Full sized templates are included.

Finished Size: 15″ h x 16″ w

Materials Required: (45″ (115 cm) cotton)

.3 m (1/3 yd) colour 1 (bottom section of bag)

.5 m (1/2 yd) colour 2 (top section of bag)

1.2 m (1-1/4 yd) fabric for lining and 2 inside pockets

1.2 m (1-1/4 yd.) fusible interfacing*

39 cm square (12″ square) for lobster appliqué

39 cm square (12″ square) fusible web*

1.3m (1-1/2 yd) of 1″ wide webbing/strapping (handles)

15 cm (6″) of 3.2 mm (1/8″) wide elastic OR a child’s hair elastic

38 mm (1-1/2″) button or toggle for closure

Sewing and quilting thread to match

Features on the lobster (eyes, and feelers) may be stitched or drawn on with a fine, permanent marker (like a Sharpie)
