Olivia Coat is a gorgeous lace knit garment worked in thick yarn and on large needles giving the traditional feather & fan lace a fresh and modern look. The body of the coat is worked in three pieces; two fronts and a back. All pieces are worked bottom up. Sleeves are worked flat and sewn in.
The knitting pattern has written instructions and a measurement schematic.
Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL)
To fit bust (your actual bust measurement):
73 (83, 93, 102.5, 112) cm.
29 (33, 37, 41, 44) “.
Yarn: Worsted/Aran weight yarn, approx 77m/50g. Sample made using Purl Alpaca Designs 100% pure alpaca Medium yarn, 77m/50g: 12 (13, 14, 15, 15) balls.
Tension: 14.5 sts and 20 rows to 10cm square using 7.5 mm needles measured over Fisherman’s Rib after light steaming.
Needles: Knitted on 6 and 7.5mm straight needles.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: Darning needle for sewing up.
