Hi,
This is a BB8 skin for the 'Metal spool holder by LIKO (U1 Snapmaker)', to make the printer funny. This was my immediate skin idea, however I believe there are plenty: Soccer ball? Pool 8-ball? Hot air balloon? I encourage you too to come up with many nice and funny skins for this fabulous U1 printer.

What is a SKIN?
It is a minor optional addition to the object. It modifies only the visual appearance; it does not modify the shape or functionality of the object. It is a thin shell only at the outside surface, only as thick as necessary (usually 1-2mm) and aimed to be printed in a different color from the base color of the object.
How can you apply a skin?
The bad news: you have to print again the 'Metal spool holder by LIKO (Snapmaker U1)', but now in color!
The good news: you can make at home! Just add the skin files to the base files on the plate, and print.
What your legal rights for skin?
