In working with a cello player (late elementary to early intermediate level) on this lovely Irish folk song, I recorded a piano accompaniment part for practice purposes.
No.1 - very slow with the melody part played the piano, so the solo player can follow how the melody part fits with the accompaniment.
No.2 - very slow with just a piano accompaniment.
No.3 - faster with the melody part played the piano, so the solo player learns to get out his/her comfort zone and to bring up the speed.
No.4 - back to slower but not too slow (moderate, I should say) for performance with just a piano accompaniment.
Although, I recorded this version to play with a cello, it should work with other intrument players and singers.
Recorded with Line Audio CM3 pair
and Tascam DR-680 digital recorder.
