The Work of Beginning

Three visitors. Zero sales. Plenty of people ready to laugh.

Amy Walker opens her digital bookstore hoping to build something meaningful—and earn money beyond her part-time job at Happy Paws Grooming.

Behind four ebook listings are hours of writing, revisions, technical frustrations, and careful spending. But when she announces her new venture online, strangers turn her uncertain beginning into entertainment. Even people close to her question whether the effort is worthwhile.

With bills to pay and responsibilities that cannot wait, Amy must learn which criticism deserves attention, when to ask for help, and how to keep working without a promise of success.

The Work of Beginning by Mia Bills is heartfelt Christian fiction about creativity, entrepreneurship, perseverance, and practicing faith through ordinary responsibilities.

For anyone who has started small, felt overlooked, or wondered whether slow progress counts.

Can Amy give her dream a fair chance before discouragement makes the decision for her?
